As inflationary pressures in the US have steadily decreased, the consumer price index has risen by the smallest amount in more than a year.
The US Department of Labor announced on the 12th local time that the consumer price index (CPI) rose 6.5% in December last year from the same month last year.
This is the sixth consecutive month of slowdown and the smallest in 14 months since October 2021.
AFP analyzed that it seems to be a sign that inflation in the United States has passed its worst.
