North Korea’s provocations for two days in a row can be interpreted as a response to the South Korean military’s successful test flight of a solid fuel-powered space launch vehicle on the 30th of last month.
In addition, there is an analysis that it is predicted that it will maintain a strong external stance in the new year.
There is also a possibility that North Korea may have carried out provocations in order to strengthen internal solidarity with the plenary meeting, which has been ongoing until today.
At the meeting, Chairman Kim Jong-un emphasized “establishing a more intense and confident strategy for struggle” and specified the “direction of struggle against the enemy” targeting the South, foreshadowing an offensive policy toward South Korea.
North Korea is conducting provocations against South Korea in various ways, including sending five drones south of the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) on the 26th of last month and sending one of them into the skies over Seoul.
