According to the police, the accident in Neulichtenberg (Urfahr-Raum district) happened as follows: A 23-year-old from the Urfahr-Raum district was driving a tractor with an attached liquid manure tank on the Hansberg Landesstraße towards Neulichtenberg at 10:50 a.m. – driving behind it a 34-year-old from the Amstetten district with his motorcycle.
At the intersection, the 23-year-old wanted to turn onto Aignerstrasse, and at the same time the motorcyclist started to overtake. He hit the left front tire of the tractor with his vehicle and fell.
The biker was injured and had to be taken by rescue to the Kepler University Hospital after receiving emergency medical treatment.
Serious accident in Pettenbach
An accident in Pettenbach (Kirchdorf district) was similar. A tractor and a motorcycle also collided there on Saturday morning. The tractor was driven by a 73-year-old from the Kirchdorf district and the motorcycle by a 24-year-old from the same district. At 9:30 a.m., the pensioner turned left with the tractor on Vorchdorfer Straße and collided with the oncoming biker.
The motorcycle driver was seriously injured and flown to the Vöcklabruck hospital in the rescue helicopter.
