Three people were hospitalized after a seven-vehicle collision involving five cars, an SBS Transit bus, and a tipper truck at a Jurong East junction on the morning of Oct 26.

The Collision at Boon Lay Way and Jurong East Central

The Singapore Civil Defence Force stated that it received an alert about the accident at the junction of Boon Lay Way and Jurong East Central at approximately 10.30am. Paramedics transported three individuals to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. The casualties included a 78-year-old male car driver, a 36-year-old female car driver, and a 76-year-old female passenger. All three patients remained conscious during the transfer.

The police recorded a separate alert regarding the incident slightly earlier, at about 10.25am. Authorities confirmed that a 29-year-old male car driver is currently assisting with ongoing investigations.

Car Collides with Stationary SBS Transit Bus

SBS Transit spokesperson Grace Wu detailed that a car collided with the right side of a Service 99 bus while the public transport vehicle stood stationary at a traffic light within the junction. None of the passengers aboard the bus sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment. Transit operators promptly transferred the affected passengers onto another bus to allow them to continue their journeys.

Circulating social media imagery captured emergency response operations at the scene. Traffic authorities deployed cones to cordon off multiple affected lanes, while an ambulance and two police vehicles parked nearby. Visual evidence documented exterior damage across four passenger cars and the SBS Transit bus. A black car sustained front-end damage with its bonnet open, while a white car suffered impact across its front, right side, and rear.
