The incredible incident started around 10pm when the 70-year-old mother of the perpetrator called the Immediate Action center and complained that her son, for an insignificant reason, was breaking objects in the house where he lived with her and his 71-year-old father.
The police immediately arrived at the apartment and as soon as he saw them the 51-year-old man attacked them with an axe, but they managed to avoid the blows. He then damaged the hood of the official vehicle with the ax and fled.
The 51-year-old started running and hid in a forest, while in the early hours of Holy Wednesday he returned and a second episode ensued when police rushed to arrest him. Specifically, he attacked them again with another ax in his possession. With cool movements, the police finally managed to disarm him and handcuff him.
