Umm Faisal suffers from hepatitis, and her treatment costs 32,000 dirhams

Umm Faisal, a Yemeni woman, 50 years old, suffers from hepatitis B, in addition to other health problems in the heart and bones. For a year in the amount of 32 thousand dirhams, and the health insurance card does not cover the costs of her hepatitis C medicines, and she appeals to the white-handed people to extend a helping hand to her and help her manage the cost of her medicines for a year, so that her life is not endangered.

Umm Faisal recounted the story of her suffering with the disease to «Emirates Today», saying that she had lived on the land of the country for many years, and had given birth to her children in it, and years ago she began to suffer from kidney failure, and she was frequenting hospitals to do dialysis, and after a long journey of treatment and dialysis The treatment became useless, and the doctors confirmed her urgent need for a kidney transplant, adding that she succeeded in performing a kidney transplant and was crowned with success, and since that time she has been living on medication.

She added that after a period of time after the kidney transplant, she had heart and bone diseases, and she began to visit Shakhbout Medical City for treatment, and she was exposed to health problems. Her need for lifelong medicines costs 32,000 dirhams annually, an amount beyond her modest family’s means.

And (Umm Faisal) continued that she has a health insurance card, but it does not cover hepatitis C medications, because the amount of coverage in the card is limited, and currently she does not know how to act in light of the difficult health conditions she is going through, noting that her husband is the only breadwinner for the family and works in one of the institutions The private sector in Abu Dhabi, with a salary of 4,500 dirhams, of which 2,500 dirhams are paid for housing rent, and the rest of the salary goes to life expenses and requirements.

She emphasized that her family suffers from a weak source of monthly income and is limited in covering the requirements of life in light of the high cost of living and high prices, pointing out that her husband tried hard to search for an additional job opportunity in order to cover the expenses of treatment, but his efforts failed, appealing to good people and those with kind hearts to help her. In securing the cost of the medicines she needs, so that her life is not endangered.
