A 29-year-old man was in critical condition after being beaten by three individuals on Saturday evening in Montreal in Mercier-Hochelaga.
At 8:40 p.m., the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) was called to intervene concerning an injured man on the ground in Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve between Louis Veuillot and Lacordaire streets.
Upon arrival, police find an unconscious and injured 29-year-old man.
“He was transported to a hospital center and he is in critical condition” according to the first information transmitted by the SPVM publicist, Caroline Chevrefils.
Three suspects allegedly used physical force to assault the victim and fled in a vehicle before the police arrived.
The scene has been protected for investigators as well as forensic identification technicians so that they can analyze the scene and understand the circumstances of the attack
Witnesses have been interviewed, there have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
