a man opens fire and kills three people, “fortunately the weapon jammed, otherwise there would have been more victims”

A shooting occurred this Sunday morning in Fidene, near Rome, Italy. Armed, Claudio, 57, burst into a room next to a bar and opened fire on those present. The toll is three dead and three seriously injured.

According to the Italian press, a conflict is at the origin of the drama. A witness says that “the man was known to everyone and had previously threatened those present (…) He shot at the board of directors of the association which was holding an end-of-year meeting there. The weapon jammed at a certain moment, otherwise there would have been more victims”.

An investigation is underway.
