Al-Marsad newspaper: The nutritionist, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arifi, has settled the controversy over the effect of eating honey on an empty stomach on the stomach membrane.

Al-Arifi said, during an interview with the “Sabah Al-Saudia” program broadcast on the Saudi channel: “Honey treats stomach ulcers,” pointing out: “Honey hurts in the first place like a wound when you spray cologne on it.”

He continued, “Eating honey on the first day will make you feel stomach pain for 10 minutes, and on the second day, you will feel pain for 7 minutes until the wounds heal.”

He continued: “Honey stays in the stomach for a longer period until it treats ulcers,” adding: “Honey is excellent for the stomach.”
