A rally against the “Ukrainization of Poland” was held in Warsaw

In Warsaw, on Paradov Square near the Palace of Culture and Science, more than 100 people held a rally against the “Ukrainization of Poland”, reports “RIA Novosti”. The organizer was the nationalist party “Confederation of the Polish Crown”. The rally took place despite an appeal from left-wing parties to Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski with a request to ban it.

Those gathered on Paradov Square held posters: “Remember Volhynia, we will not give up the truth”, “Ukrainians are only a tool in the hands of politicians”, “Stop stealing under the guise of helping Ukraine”.

Next to the nationalists, several people held an action against xenophobia. They came to the square with a Ukrainian flag and a poster “Away with fascism and xenophobia.”

According to various estimates, about 3 million citizens of Ukraine now live in Poland. Up to 1.5 million of them arrived in the country after the start of the military operation as refugees.
