A total of 15,352 companies created at the end of February 2023 according to OMPIC

The Moroccan economy is able to experience significant dynamics following the appearance of new companies operating in wealth-providing sectors.

According to the Moroccan Industrial and Commercial Property Office (OMPIC), 15,352 new companies were created during the first two months of 2023. They are distributed, according to the same source, between legal persons (10,093 companies) and individuals (5,259 companies).

In addition, 37.73% of these companies operate in the commercial sector, 18.25% in construction, public works and real estate activities, 17.14% in various services, 8.14% in transport, 6.85% in industries, 6.17 % in hotels and restaurants, 2.9% in activities related to information and communication technologies, 1.78% in agriculture and fishing while 1.03% operates in the financial sector.

By legal status, 61.8% of these newly created companies are single-member limited liability companies, 37.9% are limited liability companies, 0.2% public limited companies while 0.1% are public limited companies. collective.

By region, OMPIC data show that 4,536 of these companies were created, for the same period, in the Casablanca-Settat region, 2,347 others in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, while Rabat Salé Kenitra saw the creation of 1,771 new businesses.

With regard to companies created in the Marrakech Safi region and in Fez Meknes, they are estimated at 1,529 and 1,129 respectively, according to the same source.
