As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues, more and more studios and publishers continue to suspend sales in Russia. Recently, Microsoft had joined in this decision after Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister called on video game companies to boycott Russia. Now it is also Activision-Blizzardrecently purchased by Microsoft, which decides to do the same.
The many companies in the very lucrative video game industry therefore continue this boycott in the soft power war that we have known since the beginning of this war in Ukraine. Nothing that has already a strong impact on the Russian economy. Also intending to act directly with Ukraine, Activision-Blizzard has also decided to donate $300,000 to humanitarian aid organizations in the country.

Today we announce that Activision Blizzard will suspend new sales of our games in Russia for the duration of the dispute. We will continue to look for ways to support the Ukrainian people. I would also like to remind you that our employee assistance program is available for those who need emotional support during this difficult time.
The fight against Russia therefore continues on all fronts, and in the video game industry, the number of measures taken by companies brings a heavy weight to the Russian economy, which continues to fall. Whether pro players, teams, or studios, everyone is trying as best they can to help Ukraine.
