Following the ECOWAS and UEMOA sanctions inflicted on Mali, in particular the closure of air borders with these member countries of the sub-regional organization, France had announced that it would interrupt its flights to our country because it had to initially transit through certain ECOWAS countries. This announcement, which had taken more than one by surprise, had greatly displeased the Malian authorities who saw in this another work of the French State to undermine our country.
Still, in a letter dated January 13, 2022 from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Mali, the French company is given agreement to review its flight plan to our country.
