Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has just announced the conclusion of long-term lease agreements for five Boeing 737s with Royal Air Maroc (RAM), including four new Boeing 737-8s and one Boeing 737-800. Delivery is scheduled for 2024, from ALC’s backlog of orders with Boeing, under a long-term lease agreement with ALC worth $300 million.
Thanks to this agreement, Royal Air Maroc acquires “additional aircraft that will strengthen and modernize its operational fleet“, said Abdelhamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), quoted in a press release. “The acquisitions in question should contribute to increasing the quality of services offered to customers, while reducing the company’s carbon footprint.”he continued.
For his part, Steven F. Udvar-Házy, Executive Chairman of ALC, is delighted with “develop a long-term relationship with RAM, which continues to modernize its fleet and expand its network, as well as to maximize its competitive advantage through fuel-efficient aircraft“.
