The NBA All Star classic returns in 2024. The best players from each conference will face each other for another year in the most anticipated friendly in American basketball. LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will repeat as captains of the west and east, respectively. The coaches will be Doc Rivers (Milwaukee Bucks) and Chris Finch (Minnesota Timberwolves). This year, unlike previous seasons since 2018, captains will not be able to handpick their team from among the selected players, but rather the classic confrontation returns. Last year, the Greek-Nigerian’s team beat the veteran Los Angeles Lakers player’s team 175-184.

For the LeBron James team, in addition to the captain, Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Paul George (Los Angeles Clippers), Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers) and Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves).
Giannis Antetokounmpo will be joined by Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Damian Lillard (Milwaukee Bucks), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat), Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic), Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics), and Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers) and Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers). Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks) and Scottie Barnes (Toronto Raptors) will replace the injured Julius Randle (New York Knicks) and Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers).

- The Rising Star, a rookie match, and the Celebrity Game, a match with celebrities and former players, can be followed in the early hours of Friday to Saturday, February 17, starting at 2:00 a.m., through the NBA League Pass and Movistar+.
- The skills challenges, the dunk contest and the three-point contest can be followed on Sunday, February 18, starting at 2:00 a.m., through the NBA League Pass and Movistar+.
