The 16 year old stabbed Tuesday afternoon during a fight between several young people in front of a Pointe-Claire high school finally succumbed to his injuries Thursday morning.
By a sad coincidence, the alleged assailant was appearing at the same time for his bail hearing, in connection with charges of attempted murder and conspiracy.

Due to the precarious state of the victim, the parties then decided to postpone the proceedings for a week.
“The charges could change,” explained in the courtroom Mr.e Tom Pentefountas, who defends the 16-year-old accused, whose identity cannot be revealed because he is a minor.
Unfortunately, the future proved him right, because during the hearing, John Rennie High School announced the death of young Lucas Gaudet to the other students by means of a press release.
The fatal altercation took place in front of another establishment in the area, namely St-Thomas High School.
An autopsy will have to be performed on the body of the teenager, in order to confirm the exact cause of death. And if he died of wounds inflicted by the accused, the latter should be charged with murder, or at least manslaughter.

Alarming and disturbing
The Lester B. Pearson School Board has said it is “really concerned” about the increase in violence involving young people in the province.
“It’s really alarming. We must take note of this, as educators, as a society, that there is distress among young people. They no longer have the same support systems with their friends, their activities. It’s devastating,” said President Judy Kelley, offering her heartfelt condolences.
“We have to study this problem, try to understand why it happens more and more, she adds, in shock. One is already too many. »
This is the fifth teenager to lose his life in just over a year in the Montreal region as a result of a crime.
