The Tasikmalaya City Police Criminal Investigation UNIT carried out unannounced inspections (sidak) at a number of fuel filling stations (SPBU) in the Tasikmalaya area, West Java. The inspection was to anticipate fraud and shortages of fuel oil (BBM) during the homecoming and returning moments for Eid 1445 Hijriah.

Head of the Satreskrim Tasikmalaya City Police, AKP Fetrizal, said that facing the homebound and return traffic ahead of Eid Al-Fitr this year, his members had carried out supervision and checks, especially at a number of fuel filling stations (SPBU) in Tasikmalaya.

“We, together with members of the Criminal Investigation Unit, including the Tipidter unit, carry out supervision and checks at several gas stations in Tasikmalaya to prevent fraud and fuel shortages. Because, during this Eid al-Fitr holiday, all the necessities for the community must always be ready, so as not to cause harm to vehicle users and the public,” he said , Saturday (30/3).

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tasikmalaya City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Inspector Pictor Sitorus, said that the supervision and checks carried out at gas stations in the Tasikmalaya area showed no indications of fuel oil (BBM) fraud and during the homecoming and return traffic, it was certain that they would be able to meet the community’s needs.

“We immediately checked the fuel at the Parhon gas station, Indihiang. We had a stock of 23 tonnes of bio diesel, 21 tonnes of Pertalite, 7 tonnes of Pertamax Turbo and 4 tonnes of Dexlite. At the Budiman SPBU, the stock of Bio diesel was 16 tonnes, Pertalite 17 tonnes and Pertamax “15 tonnes and during the inspection no indication of fraud was found and the availability of fuel is certain to be sufficient for the community’s needs,” he said.

According to him, the availability of fuel at a number of gas stations on the southern route, specifically in Tasikmalaya, is certain that ahead of the Eid al-Fitr homecoming, there will be no indications or discovery of fraud. However, if you find any indication of fraud, the public should report it to the Tasikmalaya City Police via hotline 110 or 081-119-110-110 and the report will be followed up.

“We appeal to the public who are aware of fuel misuse or fraud, please report it to the Tasikmalaya City Police. Because we will take firm action if there is fraud committed at gas stations,” he said.
