Apple to Launch Five New Products Including Touchscreen MacBook Pro

Apple is releasing five new products this Friday, November 6, marking one of the company’s busiest single-day launches of 2026. The rollout, which follows a pre-order period that began at 10:10am Pacific Time on October 28, includes the first MacBook Pro models to feature touchscreen displays.

Touchscreen MacBook Pro Models

Apple has introduced 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models that incorporate what the company describes as a PROLED XDR display with direct touch support. These are the first MacBook Pro models to utilize tandem OLED display technology and they introduce the Dynamic Island feature to the Mac lineup, along with slimmer, lighter enclosures, Thunderbolt 5, and up to 24 hours of battery life. The high-end models are powered by M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.

Apple’s Touchscreen MacBook Pro Arrives Friday and Five New Products

The 14-inch version with an OLED touchscreen starts at $2,899 in the U.S. and £2,899 in the UK.

A separate, more conventional 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip is also launching on November 6. Unlike the high-end OLED models, this version retains the existing Liquid Retina XDR display without touch or Dynamic Island capabilities. It starts at $1,999 in the U.S. and £1,999 in the UK, offering up to 24 hours of battery life, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.

iPad Mini Gets OLED Display and M6 iMac Arrives

The new iPad mini features an 8.5-inch OLED display. The tablet uses an A20 Pro processor and features a 5.4mm-thinner frame, Wi-Fi 7, a front-facing camera positioned for horizontal viewing, and IP67 water and dust resistance. It starts at $699 in the U.S. and £699 in the UK. Apple’s specifications for the device do not list ProMotion support, indicating it remains limited to a 60Hz refresh rate.

The updated 24-inch iMac also joins the lineup, moving to the M6 chip, which features up to a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU. Apple reports that this desktop model offers up to twice the graphics performance and five times faster on-device AI performance compared to the previous M4 model. This desktop includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, faster storage, and compatibility with two external 6K displays, with 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet available as an option. Pricing for the new iMac begins at $1,499 in the U.S. and £1,499 in the UK.

Apple Hosts Media Event Before Upcoming November Releases

Apple did not hold a traditional live-streamed event for these releases, opting instead to showcase the hardware through a media and creator event in Los Angeles. While these five products arrive on November 6, Apple has additional updates scheduled for the remainder of the year.

The company is preparing for a November 13 launch of the HomeView smart home display, which will be available in tabletop and wall-mounted versions starting at $299 in the US. The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K is also expected to launch on November 13 with 128GB of storage, a $299 starting price, Siri AI capabilities, and surround sound support for compatible HomePod speakers.
