Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Saudi Public Security announced the arrest of a Kuwaiti who shot another, while the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior confirmed that cooperation between it and the security authorities in Riyadh resulted in the arrest of the shooter of one of its affiliates on Thursday evening.
And Saudi security said in a statement that the Eastern Province police arrested a Kuwaiti citizen “for assaulting another of the same nationality by shooting him with a firearm in his possession.”
And the Saudi security continued in the same statement by saying: “The victim’s health condition is stable, and the aggressor was arrested, and regular measures were taken against him and he was referred to the Public Prosecution.”
For its part, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said in a statement: “The security cooperation resulted in the security authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia being able to arrest the suspect in the shooting incident of an employee of the Ministry of Interior, and investigations are being completed to find out the circumstances of the incident.”
On Thursday, the ministry announced that one of its employees had been exposed to a shooting incident in Saudi Arabia, and indicated that it was coordinating with Riyadh to arrest the perpetrator.
