Now let’s all have a good rummage through the technology drawer! Maybe there is still a real treasure in the tangled mess of charging cables, old cell phone cases and phone bones.

Anyone who finds a first-generation Apple iPhone there in its original packaging can consider themselves lucky.

23,304 percent profit

At a recent auction in Boston (US state of Massachusetts), the 2007 model went under the hammer for 110,000 euros, reported Daily Mail. As a reminder: the purchase price at the time was just 470 euros. That makes a whopping 109,530 euros or 23,304 percent profit.

In addition to the smartphone, 119 other Apple items were auctioned with a total value of 1.5 million euros.

A copy of the first PC with a bitten apple for the average consumer also went to the highest bidder – for a whopping 239,000 euros!

Apple’s first personal computer (PC), the Apple I, cost 666 dollars (613 euros).
