Until the end of the 21/22 season, the then 17-year-old basketball player was one of the hopes of the Osnabrück first division basketball team, now it’s “back to the roots” to the hare.
A few days after the end of the season and the 18th birthday followed Frieda Bühner the offer of the Gators from Gainesville, Florida/USA, combined with a scholarship at the University of Florida.
Last week, on Thursday November 24th, the Gators broke the news that Frieda had signed with a German club after four games in the US. It was not yet clear where the 18-year-old basketball player, who is one of the top European players in her age group, would go.
At the weekend, the Panthers spread “#0 is back” via social media (#0 was Frieda’s former jersey number with the Panthers).
Together with the GiroLive-Panthers, we are happy to see Frieda back on the field in “datos – home of the Panthers” and wish them the greatest possible success.
While the Panthers are in the process of bringing ex-players back into the Panthers family, I have an idea; At the last home game, the former #3, Samantha Führing, was sitting on the substitutes’ bench, albeit as a “guest of honour”. That looked pretty good…
The next home game of the GiroLive-Panthers against the Rheinland Lions starts on December 11th, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
