The president of Amiu, the municipal company for urban urban hygiene of Bari and Foggia, Paolo Pate has resigned from his position because he is accused of the crime of false corporate communications in an investigation which does not concern the activity carried out for the company and despite the public prosecutor’s request for a ‘non-proceeding’ order. «As the press has known for some time – he writes – I am accused of the crime of false corporate communications, pursuant to article 2621 of the civil code, in competition with the Cavallari brothers, Alceste and Marco, exclusively for having provided my professional activity as an intermediary accountant , authorized to transmit to the Revenue Agency and the Company Registry of two private deeds of transfers of shares in limited liability companies, pursuant to Article 36 of Law 133/2008, which took place between February and April 2018. The matter originates in the family members of former members, as well as former spouses”, specifies Pate.

«At the preliminary hearing, held yesterday 16 April 2024, the Public Prosecutor of the hearing, given the clear evidence of my total and absolute extraneousness to the facts that are contested against me – continues Pate – asked for a sentence of non-compliance to be issued place to proceed against me.
