Ives is a 54-year-old Belgian. In 1994, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in human resources from the University of Applied Sciences of Louvain. Since then, he has been active in the social sector. In 2016, he completed and obtained a Masters in International Management at the University of Liverpool. He has been looking for work since December of this year, writing HLN.

Although he has been active with several experiences in different sectors and in different countries, he encounters problems finding work in Belgium in his preferred sector. “I don’t have enough experience in general HR and my degree is too high,” he laments.

Ives continues: “I’m not looking for a director position. I am looking for an entry-level position. The economy and companies that want to make more and more profits don’t help me either. There is a lack of ethics. People tend to look at gender equality over experience and education.”
