The California Highway Patrol said in a news release Sunday night that Paul W.Pelosi(Paul Pelosi)’s new 2021 Porsche was hit by another vehicle in Napa Valley, Northern California, when Paul was trying to cross State Route 29.
Paul, 82, was hit by a 2014 Jeep as he drove into an intersection near Yountville on Saturday night, police registration reports said.
The incident happened just five miles from the Pelosi’s multimillion-dollar vineyard.
Law enforcement officers did not arrest the 48-year-old local driver, but arrested Paul about 80 minutes after arriving at the scene, and he could face two misdemeanor charges, one ofdrunk drivingthe other is a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or more.
No injuries were mentioned in the police report, and no one was blamed for the accident.
Paul was released Sunday morning on $5,000 bail.
The Pelosi married in 1963 and have five children. The couple often travels between San Francisco and Washington because of their wife’s work in Congress.
At the time of the incident, Nancy Pelosi did nothusbandtogether.in the husbandarrestedHours later, she gave a commencement speech at Brown University in Rhode Island. She made no mention of her husband’s arrest.
