A 37-year-old drove his car from Waldstatt AR shortly after 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday towards Schönengrund. In the Brisig area, he wanted to turn right onto the side road to Schwellbrunn AR. The driver’s cell phone fell out of the holder, as the Appenzell Ausserrhoden cantonal police write. Distracted by this circumstance, the 37-year-old lost control of his car.

E-bike rider falls down the slope
A bicycle accident occurred in Necker SG on Monday afternoon. A 58-year-old woman was riding her e-bike and a second 28-year-old e-bike rider on a dirt road from Loch in the direction of Nutzhalden. She intended to overtake the 28-year-old and lost her balance in the process.
As a result, the 58-year-old fell down a sloping embankment with her e-bike. She suffered unspecified injuries in the accident and was flown to the hospital by Rega.
