China’s fixed asset investment rises 9.4% between 2013 and 2021

An official report issued by the National Statistics Authority of China showed that the volume of investment in fixed assets rose at an average annual rate of 9.4% from 2013 to 2021 to reach 409 trillion yuan, equivalent to 58.5 trillion dollars.

China’s investment in fixed assets in 2021 reached 55.3 trillion yuan, compared to 28.2 trillion yuan in 2012.

In the same period, investment in infrastructure witnessed a steady growth, recording an average annual growth rate of 12%.

During the same period, the real estate sector attracted a total of 103 trillion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 9.2%.

Funds flowing into scientific research and technology services kept increasing at an annual rate of 12.1% from 2013 to 2021.
