We have already talked a few times (including on video) about CARD Spota wallet tracker from Chipolo with Search network support (Find My). Two years after announcing the original product, the company has now revealed a new edition “perfectly imperfect” of the accessory.
Basically, the Perfectly Imperfect CARD Spot It has the same advantages and features as the regular edition — which includes sound alerts, notifications and visualization of the location on the map — but with certain imperfections in the coloring of the plastic, resulting from the complex manufacturing process of the product.
According to Chipolo, these imperfections occur because of injection molding, in which the molten plastic is injected into a mold where it cools and solidifies into the shape of the CARD Spot — which is quite thin, by the way, with only 4, 5mm thick.
Although the manufacturing process is very cautious, small changes in parameters such as temperature and pressure can end up causing imperfections in manufacturing — especially in the first units, which are more likely to have color defects.
According to the company, the manufacturing characteristics of the CARD Spot make it impossible to reuse the plastic to remake the product, which led the company to adopt the solution of selling them with this “imperfection” — which does not alter their functioning in any way, worth remember.
Featuring exclusive art on its back, the Perfectly Imperfect CARD Spot can be purchased for US$35 — the same price as the regular edition — or in packs of two (US$70) or four (US$140) units no site da Chipolo.
