A case of collective poisoning was reported in a school in Cúcuta, Colombiaafter at least 13 students were rushed to the hospital after consuming viagra mixed with passion fruit juice during school hours.
According to the school authorities San Bartolomeminors between 14 and 16 years old, who are in the ninth grade, complained of severe breathing problems, which even led some to suffer from tachycardia, points out Time.
The report of the Metropolitan Police of Cucuta indicated that the students confessed to having mixed passion fruit juice with a Viagra pill in a thermos. This happened after planning a viral challenge that they saw on social networks.
Break time would have been the right time to do this irresponsible deed and just one class later they began to experience side effects from this prescription drug for erectile dysfunction.
“Thirteen ninth-grade adolescents, between the ages of 14 and 16, ingested a drink with passion fruit juice and a pill that seemed to be viagra. One of the students also ingests an energy drink that causes tachycardia”, reported Captain Rocío López, of the Police for Children and Adolescents.
Likewise, López told the local press that, according to the medical report, nine adolescents consumed a minimum dose for which they were handed over to their parents.
After what happened, the officer in charge called on parents to regulate their minor children’s access to social networks or any portal because the information handled on the Internet can be dangerous.
“There is a need for control and limits that are established within the home, to generate control in access to cell phones and computers, since through them they can access different platforms, which is where they see all these situations that they want to experience or repeat. ”he added.
On the side of the San Bartolomé educational institution, located in the Comuneros neighborhood of the Juan Atalaya citadel, the directors have called an urgent meeting for this Wednesday for the entire school community.
