While the Colombian National Team begins its concentration for the start of the South American Qualifiers, the Colombian soccer players kept thinking about going to another club and one of those cases is that of the defender, Davinson Sánchez.

Despite the fact that Sánchez has been considered on the Tottenham bench for Premier League games and has managed to start the FA Cup, the defender was still looking for options to leave the English team and start this new season.

One of the teams that has managed to take an interest in the Colombian was Galatasaray, who had advanced talks with Tottenham and after several days, the contract was closed.

The Turkish club made it official that an agreement was reached between the clubs for the transfer of Davinson Sánchez and they paid close to 10 million euros for the Colombian player, who signed for four years, with an extension of one more season.

“An agreement has been reached with professional footballer Davinson Sánchez Mina and his club Tottenham Hotspur Football and Athletic Company Limited for the transfer of the player. Accordingly, a transfer fee of €9,500,000 will be paid to the player’s former club in equal installments spread over 5 seasons. An agreement has been reached with the player for a 4+1 season starting in the 2023-2024 season, and a net seasonal fee of 3,200,000 euros will be paid for each football season”, says the Galatasaray statement.

In this way, Davinson Sánchez will play in Turkey and will work with his new club once his participation with the Colombian National Team ends.
