The conductor Michael Brown does not hide his deep admiration for the great Johann Sebastian Bach. It is to transmit his passion to the general public that he has imagined surprising musical encounters where the classical sounds of Bach rub shoulders with the traditional rhythms from Ivory Coast and Mali.
This documentary retraces the creative journey of the conductor and theToulouse Baroque Ensemble. From this collaboration were born the “cantatas without net”, an atypical initiative which invites the spectators to join the choir. Michel Brun wants decompartmentalize classical music and break down preconceived ideas among so-called “prevented” audiences, such as high school dropouts. A great lesson in humanity!

However, the acerbic pen of the “revolutionary writer”, as described victor hugo, has not always brought him luck. Adored by the general public, but often hounded by the courts, Balzac still inspires novelists and filmmakers today.

(Re)discover My life with Liberace (2012) from Steven Soderbergha film that looks back on the secret and passionate affair between the virtuoso pianist and the young Scott Thorson. Vibrate in front Violette (2012) from Martin Provost which tells the little-known relationship between the novelists Violette Leduc et Simone de Beauvoir.
