Hot on the heels of her critically acclaimed album Never enoughGrammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Daniel Caesar announces the second leg of his worldwide release – Daniel Caesar Presents Superpowers World Tour – Leg 2: US & Canada.
Produced by Live Nation, the 33-date tour kicks off Aug. 29 at the Murat Theater at the Old National Center in Indianapolis, making stops across the United States in Milwaukee, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Boston, and more, before to end in Philadelphia at the Met Philadelphia on October 19.
The tour will also include three performances in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto with special guests.
Omar Apollo and Montell Fish will join Caesar in New York, Flying Lotus and Orion Sun will stop in Los Angeles, and the performance at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena will include Charlotte Day Wilson with Canadian jazz band BADBADNOTGOOD and Moses Sumney. Montell Fish and Orion Sun will be supporting various shows of the race.
The Canadian R&B star performs a victory lap, after achieving his highest graphics versionwith Never enough debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums Chart and Top 15 on the Billboard 200 Chart upon release.
Never Enough was produced by Caesar alongside Dylan Wiggins, with additional collaborations from summer walker, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, Omar Apollo, serpentwithfeet and Mustafa. It includes the singles “Do You Like Me? “, “Let Me Go” and “Valentina”, as well as the viral song “Always”, which climbed to No. 1 on the Genius trending lyrics chart and peaked at No. 13 on Billboard Hot R&B Songs Chart and Top 25 on Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart.
“While ‘Never Enough’ continues the poignant thread of Caesar’s grief, riddled with philosophical allusions, the outing seems to be his most personal yet – carried by production and instrumentation credits on nearly every track,” writing Variety.
Following the album’s release, Caesar embarked on the ‘Almost Enough: The Intimate Sessions’ tour, performing the new album in its entirety for fans with sold-out shows across North America and around the world. ‘Europe.
