The NBA official website announced today (28th) that Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker and Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero were selected as the Players of the Week in Week 5 of the 2023-24 season.
Devin Booker led the Suns to a 4-0 record last week, averaging 30.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game.
One highlight was Devin Booker’s 40 points on 15-of-21 shooting in the midseason tournament in Memphis. After he returned from injury, the Suns have won seven consecutive games. This is also the eighth time Devin Booker has won Player of the Week, the most in team history.
Paolo Banchero also led the Orlando Magic to a 4-0 record last week, averaging 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. He even won the honor of Player of the Week for the first time. The Magic currently have a 7-game winning streak. Paolo Banchero is the No. 1 pick in the 2022 draft and last season’s Rookie of the Year.
