The performance of the former artist of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, actor Anatoly Bely (Vaisman), who escaped from Russia, was canceled in Paris.
The performance of the play “I am here” was scheduled for October 4 at Théâtre le Ranelagh. However, now the announcement of the performance is marked “event cancelled.” The reason for the cancellation of the performance was not specified. The publication KP.ru believes that the performance was canceled due to poor sales, although there are only 300 seats in the hall.
As reported EADaily, at the end of August, the tour of the Lenkom Theater with the play “Funeral Prayer”, which was planned for the end of October, was canceled in Israel. Theater director Mark Warshawer said that active sales of tickets for the performance had begun, but suddenly information appeared about the persecution of Lenkom, which was provoked by Anatoly Bely. Warshaver called Bely a foreign agent (he was not officially recognized as such) and a dishonest person.
Now Bely is actively trying to cancel the tours of all Russian artists in Israel, he even created a petition on this matter. Bely calls to prevent “the next guest performers from making some money.” Sergei Nikonenko and Irina Muravyova, who are bringing the comedy “Don’t Get in Your Own Sleigh,” fell under Bely’s “hot hand.” Seven performances in different cities of Israel are planned for January 2024.
