Daniela Cabrera and Fátima Sotomayor, the creators of “Misias But Travelers”surprised everyone a few days ago by leaving open the possibility of putting an end to their successful project on YouTube.
A few days ago, the “misias” gave an interview to ChiquiWilo, who has a Premium channel on the popular video platform, where they explained what motivated them to think about making this decision.
“There is no fight, only that Dani and I traveled together six years ago, that is, six years! The project started when we were 24 and we are now 30 and there have been many years in which we have shared 24/7 together”said Fatima.
“That leads to there are certain types of skills that we have not been able to develop individually because we support each other a lot. There are things in which I falter more and she supports me and vice versa… ”he indicated.
TASK OF THE PSYCHOLOGIST
“We feel like we have to start doing independent things in order to finish developing as people… That’s the truth.” Fatima explained, to which Daniela added: “We don’t feel like separating, the psychologist has sent us a homework assignment.”
“The proposal was from Dani and he discussed it with his psychologist and I did the same with mine and they told us it was an idea very good because I have a lot of insecurities and personal issues that I have not been able to finish developing because Dani has supported me”Fatima said.
In that sense, Daniela was also honest: “There are things that I can’t do sometimes and Fatima is there, she supports me and motivates me, but in real life it’s not always going to be like that, I’m not always going to have her by my side and the day, who knows, that the project ends and each one heads for a different path, I don’t want to start from scratch”.
“I want to feel like an independent woman… It’s not bad to prepare yourself for something that you don’t know if it will happen or not”pointed out Daniela, to which Fatima added: “We are very frank and aware that at any moment something could happen that the project ends for some reason.”
INVOLVED IN CONTROVERSY
The “Misia But Travelers” have recently been involved in a controversy due to the criticism they have received for their latest video on YouTube entitled “LIMA: The most complete AND SAFE guide | We tell you EVERYTHING about our city”, in which they showed how to do tourism in the capital.
The clip, released on September 18, 2022, has generated great controversy, because when they refer to the areas of Lima, they exclude North Lima and East Lima from having tourist environments that foreigners can visit.
“Both are highly inhabited areas, where more of the Lima population lives. In these areas there is a lot of movement, a lot of traffic and commerce. We always joke with Fatima and say that it looks like Cairo in Egypt, but these areas are not touristy. Here people just live, they have their daily life and that’s it “Daniela Cabrera highlighted.
