Time-Travel Mechanics and Combat Systems in Eternal Anima
Players control protagonist Wade, an outcast marked as a heretic in the artificial paradise of Shiroto who escapes into the forbidden sea across four lost continents. Wade utilizes a mind-reading ability called “thought-reading” to extract memories, professions, and skills from historical objects left by past owners. The turn-based combat system features a real-time future-prediction mechanic that displays enemy action timings and outcomes each turn, letting players alter predetermined events through tactical command selection.
Audio Collaboration and Subtitle Support Across Global Releases
The newly published developer discussion follows a previous video featuring MISTWALKER’s Hironobu Sakaguchi discussing the core theme of heritage with director Katsuhisa Higuchi. The latest conversation explores musical creation challenges in traditional role-playing games with Uematsu, known for his work on the Final Fantasy franchise, and Sakimoto. The video includes hidden subtitle support in Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. The game supports Japanese and English voice tracks alongside subtitles in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish, and Korean.
