On Monday morning, the final rehearsal took place so that tomorrow Tuesday (16/4) the ceremony will take place in order for the flame to begin its journey from the Holy Land of Ancient Olympia to the French capital, for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Touching Ceremony will begin at 11:30, and will be attended by 48 artists, chosen for their resemblance to the youth in ancient times.

Ancient Olympia: The Details of the Touch Ceremony
Based on the program of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the ritual will begin at 11:30 on Tuesday morning, with the actress Mary Mina leading the charge this year, who will hand over the flame to the first torchbearer, the Olympic champion Stefanos Dusko.
It will follow a magnificent 11-day torchlight procession until it reaches the Kallimarmaros Stadium in Athens on the 26th of the month and then it will begin its long journey to France.
The Olympic flame will arrive in Marseille on May 8, with up to 150,000 people expected to attend the ceremony in the southern city’s Old Port before the French leg of the relay begins.
The French torch relay will last 68 days and culminate with the lighting of the Olympic flame at the Opening Ceremony of the Games on 26 July.
