Doctors are concerned about repute for Covid that has occurred in recent weeks in the country, especially in the entity veracruzanarecognized the specialist in Family Medicine Víctor Laureano Cervantes León, president of the College of Family Medicine Specialists of the State of Veracruz, during the swearing-in of the new committee for the 2023-2024 financial year, which was held in a well-known hotel in the suburban area Veracruz-Boca del Río.
“What has us right now worried is the famous pandemic of Covidin this repute that is taking place, then we are working in conjunction with the authorities of the Sector Health“, he stated.
He recognized that the College of Family Medicine participates in trainingwhich is what is up to them.
“We are preparing ourselves and making observations to the different institutions, the College has representation in all the institutions, here in the new Committee, we have doctors and doctors of the Secretariat of HealthIMSS, ISSSTE and the Naval System,” he said.
“In the Naval System there are already experts in Family Medicine, then it is a sector that was previously separated, but in terms of Health Sector lor we are meeting and combining so that the efforts are added, “he added.
The new 2023-2024 committee is made up of personalities of the medicine of first level dand attention to the citizenry.
“The school to which we belong is the one that brings together all family doctors and first-level care doctors from the entire state of Veracruz, we have representation in the port of Veracruz, Xalapa, in the Córdoba-Orizaba area and in the southern area, Coatzacoalcos,” he explained.
He affirmed that at the moment they group 300 partners in Veracruz, number that is growing rapidly in recent days.
“Before we didn’t have the culture of colleges and what leads to certificationthe Universidad Veracruzana and the authorities of the Sector Health They are promoting this situation and then every day we begin to register and have specialists come to the schools”, he stressed.
As for the diseases that most afflict the populationindicated that you are going according to the time of year, so they are seasonal.
“In the IMSS, to which I belong, the diseases more recurring son seasonalthey are by seasons of the year, so we are in the winter season and then what afflicts the most are diseases of the respiratory system and in the hot season, diarrhea, gastrointestinal infections,” he said.
Finally, he invited the population to getting closer to its doctor relative of any institution, at least twice per year, in order to promote prevention habits in the Health.
“We are motivating so that the entire population go to consultation, at least once every six months with your family doctor or doctor family, as with his dentistthat is an action that we must take in this culture of prevention,” he concluded.
