AFP and Archyde.com reported on the 1st (local time) that a freight train was derailed due to a track explosion in the Bryansk region in western Russia, adjacent to Ukraine.

Bryansk Governor Alexandre Bogomaz said on Telegram that day, “An unknown explosive device exploded at the 136 km point of the track connecting Briansk and Unetsa, causing the freight train to derail.”

In a video posted on social media (SNS), the front part of a freight train and several wagons were engulfed in flames and fell on the grass next to the tracks. The freight train was carrying oil and building materials.

On the same day, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Drozdenko said that one transmission pylon was blown up overnight and an explosive device was found near another.

Governor Drozdenko posted a picture of the power transmission pylon lying on the ground on Telegram, saying that a power transmission pylon had been destroyed near the village of Susanino, 60 km south of Saint Petersburg, Russia’s second largest city.

He said the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) was investigating the scene, but declined to say who he believed was responsible. Let’s see it in the video.
