Hours after the summit of the Frente de Todos (FdT), called by the president Alberto Fernandez After the pressure exerted from Kirchnerism to define the steps to follow in this election year, the nation’s Minister of Social Development, Victoria Toulouse Peace, one of those present at the meeting highlighted the agreements that were reached and stated: “It was very good and very positive”.
Likewise, the member of the presidential cabinet indicated: “The three most important points that were touched on are the commitment to unity, preventing the banning of Cristina Kirchner and having a programmatic agenda to guarantee the full participation of the PASO for the different candidates, with rules clear game to be able to win and continue transforming Argentina”.
Regarding the divisions within the political space of the FdT, Tolosa Paz stated: “We do not have differences in the country project but in how and in what way to build it”. He stressed that the objective they seek is the “strengthening of democracy.” And with a markedly critical tone, he referred to the “radicalization of the right” in the region and in the country “with libertarians as [Javier] Milei”, whom he blamed for “haunting the possibility of destroying state power in an Argentina with inequalities”.
“We all realized that we want to win the election to transform the lives of our people”, he said in a clear attempt to show unity within Kirchnerism.
After that, the minister praised Alberto Fernández for his participation in the political table: “It is unusual to see a sitting president giving this level of debate and participation.” And she called to “leave the tone of complaint” to begin to “respect each other in diversity.”
He also referred to the potential candidacy of the President: “It is not a debate. He said that of Being a candidate is not a restriction for any other partner to compete with the; but if he is not a candidate, he has the mission of building the victory of peronism”.
Regarding the future of the political table of the FdT, he considered that in order to work on what was agreed in the first meeting, “a smaller table must be set up to be able to execute it”.
