CHAIRMAN of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, said that the parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) are still open to political parties wishing to join the Prabowo-Gibran government coalition. This was conveyed during the Golkar Party DPP halal bi halal event, Monday (15/4). This event is called a momentum for reconciliation.
“This momentum is also reconciliation for political parties, especially for parties that support Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran. For those who haven’t, we are open, yes, open for friendship,” said Airlangga at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Jakarta.
At the event, a number of high-ranking Golkar Party officials and parties supporting the Prabowo-Gibran coalition were present. Not only that, Plt. PPP Chairman Mardiono, who supported Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in the 2024 presidential election, was also present at the event.
Airlangga said that PPP was an old friend who had parted ways in the 2024 presidential election. Not only that, Airlangga said that PPP was Golkar’s initial coalition partner in the 2024 presidential election in the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB).
“This is the reason Mr. Mardiono is here because we have been together for two years, only to end up separating a little, but it’s already February 14 so everyone is back together,” said Airlangga.
Mardiono did not explain that his arrival at the Golkar Party office was a signal to join the government in the future. He only revealed that his presence was limited to fulfilling Airlangga’s invitation.
“Yes, if you are invited, you have to attend. Halal bihalal is the time for us to forgive each other,” said Mardiono. (Mall/Z-7)
