Wedding video goes viral Groom only has eyes for his smartphone
Shortly after exchanging the rings, the groom is distracted again.

Many couples want their own wedding to be an unforgettable day. The protagonists of a video that went viral managed to do this – albeit in a less than positive way. The groom gets a shitstorm, the bride gets clear advice.
A video of a newly married couple has triggered outraged reactions on social networks. The clip shows the two walking hand in hand out of a church after saying yes. While the bride accepts congratulations with a smile, the groom stares at his smartphone and taps away.
When they arrive at the church door, the bride appears to be speaking to her husband about his tactlessness. At least now everyone would probably expect an apology. But it doesn’t come, on the contrary: the groom looks and gestures annoyed – to go straight back to his cell phone. The bride’s face freezes briefly before she smiles at the camera again.
“This marriage is over,” prophesied one commenter on Twitter, where the distracted husband’s recording has been viewed more than 42 million times. Another tweet below the viral video read, “This is insane…disrespectful and condescending. Totally inappropriate.” Apparently, the groom himself posted the video under the unexplained caption: “My body is here with you, but my spirit is out of town”. The clip recorded by a guest was originally published on TikTok, but it has since been deleted there.
“Girl, get lost!”
Many doubt that it is the best day of their lives for the two of them. “Imagine that you are not happy on your day. This man was either coerced or he doesn’t love this woman. Then why is he getting married?” asks one user. Others advise: “Get an annulment, now!!!!!!” or “Girl, get lost!”.
Others are a little more lenient. For example, it says: “Couples always fight on their wedding day. It’s not even something new. I’ve seen this happen at a lot of weddings. They said it’s usually the stress of the day that bothers them, nothing serious .”
The husband with his eyes glued to the smartphone is not an isolated case. Again and again, videos of bizarre behavior at weddings cause shitstorms on the internet. Laut New York Postwhich also reports on the smartphone wedding video, a North Carolina bride named Heather posted a video in October 2022 showing one of her bridesmaids touching the groom’s crotch in a photo.
In February, a wedding planner reported on his podcast about an irritating discovery: when a bride has to go to the bathroom shortly before the wedding begins, she catches her fiancé there, who is being breastfed by his mother.
