A new lawsuit has just been filed against Robert Miller by one of his alleged victims. The request targets the Montreal billionaire, the company he founded, Future Electronics, and two other people who were allegedly involved in a system of sexual exploitation of minors designed by the businessman. In total, the plaintiff claims 9.5 million from them in moral and punitive damages.
The damage suffered by the plaintiff is unimaginable, according to her lawyer, Maryse Lapointe, I have never seen such a story here in Quebec.
For the first time, a woman accuses Robert Miller and his acolytes of having set up a network of recruitment of young girls for the purposes of sex work intended for clients other than Mr. Miller. It was Raymond Poulet, who described himself as Mr. Miller’s special adviser for several years, who set it up.
Certain young girls recruited by Poulet for Miller […] also met with other wealthy and influential men who gravitated to Miller’s and Poulet’s circles, the lawsuit alleged. The procedure does not reveal the identity of these other customers.
The story told by the victim is extremely disturbing, particularly with regard to Raymond Poulet. The young girl, identified by the initials AB had responded to an ad placed in 1994 or 1995 by the person who acted as a matchmaker for Robert Miller. She was underage and very vulnerable at the time.
Miller allegedly met AB at a luxury Montreal hotel and paid her $1,000 for a bath and nude photos. She did not know his identity, as he introduced himself as Bob, an American radio station owner. She would have had another sexual relationship with him a few months later, in the company of another young girl.
Subsequently, Poulet and Miller offered to recruit teenage girls to feed the sexual exploitation ring.
AB then alleges that she was forced to have sex with many mature men whose identities she did not know, every week, for several years, all orchestrated by Poulet, remunerated by Future, for the benefit of Miller. During this period, she says she was drugged in a hotel and woke up sore in the soiled sheets of the bed in Raymond Poulet’s apartment, located in the La Cité complex in Montreal.
The young woman claims to have suffered a post-traumatic shock and to have fallen under the influence of Raymond Poulet, who exercised total control over her. Became his spouse, AB gave birth to a child in 1998. She claims to have completely lost her relationship with her child after leaving Raymond Poulet.
Contacted by InvestigationRaymond Poulet reacted by replying that the dates mentioned in the lawsuit are erroneous and that the facts are inaccurate.

In the report The Miller system aired last February, Investigation revealed that Robert Miller had been investigated by the SPVM regarding allegations of sexual exploitation of minors. The report also revealed that a lawyer provided by Robert Miller had accompanied several alleged victims during their depositions to the police. This police investigation was closed in 2010 without any charges being brought.
For the first time, this lawyer is targeted as a co-defendant in a lawsuit in this case. It is Stephen Angers, a well-known criminal lawyer in Montreal. His role would have been to prevent the victims from telling investigators about their experiences within the network run by Miller, according to the procedure.
He presented himself to them as their lawyer, but what he did in meetings with the police, explains lawyer Maryse Lapointe, was that he gave the girls instructions not to give any other information to the police.
For us, the actions of Master Angers are an obstruction of justice, concludes the lawyer. I don’t know for what other reasons the SPVM investigation didn’t see the light of day, but it sure didn’t help.

Surveillance and threats during the criminal investigation
Finally, the procedure alleges that during this same period, the victim was forced to spy on her ex-husband Raymond Poulet, at the request of Robert Miller. Poulet had wanted to blackmail his boss and he would have promptly received a visit from a person mandated by Future, who threatened to make him disappear as well as the child he had had with AB
Robert Miller and AB then agreed that she would watch Raymond Poulet […] in exchange for which Miller would cease his threats to his child. For his work, AB reportedly received $2,000 a month from Terry Corcoran and Robert Stevens, owners and employees of NCIS, a security company hired by Miller and Future.
She is a destitute teenager who was caught up in a system of sexual exploitation and who was forced to monitor this own system for the benefit of her attacker, recalls Maryse Lapointe. My client found herself reliving her trauma consistently and over several years.
It should also be remembered that Robert Miller and Future Electronics are facing two other lawsuits related to the system of sexual exploitation of minors that he allegedly developed: a class action bringing together 29 alleged victims and another individual lawsuit. In the latter, the plaintiff claims $8 million in damages.
Robert Miller denies any involvement in a network of child exploitation. He is contesting all the lawsuits. Neither he nor the other defendants responded to the one just filed.
