Carrefour has presented an initiative in Spain so that customers can purchase products at a lower price. An idea that has already been tested in France and that seeks to fight inflation in the supermarket.
With the name of surprise carsthe supermarket’s proposal is to offer carts full of a surprise purchase at a price up to five times cheaper than the one on the supermarket shelves.
This idea consists of of the modalities. A first modality of carts with products nutrition and hygiene for daily use for the whole family valued at 50 euros that can be buy for 9.99 euros.
And one second optionwith items that will not be food but small appliances, trash can, clothing and household itemswhich can be purchased for 29 euros although it is valued at 150 euros.
In which Carrefour supermarkets will there be surprise cars?
For the moment, the Carrefour surprise cars they will only be active in supermarkets in Madrid and Andaluca. Although the supermarket has indicated that in the future They plan to extend the action to other parts of Spain.
In addition, they report the promotion conditions. In this sense, You can only purchase one surprise car per person. and the initiative will only be active for one day.
Carrefour lowers the price of up to 500 products
Just two months ago, Carrefour joined the supermarket price war by announcing that will reduce up to 500 references of its white label.
The campaign of Carrefour offers savings of up to 13% in its private label products “most frequently purchased and best valued by customers,” according to the company. They include, for example, toasted crackers, liquid detergent, fried tomato with extra virgin olive oil or sliced breadamong others.
