Following on Australia’s 310 in Hamilton, England needed 16 runs to win the final over. Jonassen, who came in to bowl the last over, returned Katherine Brunt in the second ball. The full-length ball thrown by the Australian was omnipotent and tried to fly over the head of the Brunt bowler to the boundary. But Jonassen had the ball flying over his head with an impossible reflex and it landed in his hands. The flying ball seemed to stick to the player’s left hand. The star’s catch shocked those on the ground for a moment. Jonassen was in a state of disbelief when he was caught. Then in the last ball of the over, Jonassen knocked back Sophie Eccleston to seal the victory for Australia. The Australian women won the match by 12 runs.
