After making the crowds “jump” on titles such as DJ, The Dumpling or Young lady in the mid-2000s, Diam’s chose to distance themselves from the music scene and live their life in the shadows away from the spotlight. This year, however, the rapper made her comeback with Salam, a documentary in which she talks about her depression, her conversion to Islam, her family life and her humanitarian projects. “I became Melanie again“, confided the main interested party to the journalists of seven to eight.
While this highly publicized comeback delighted Diam’s fans, it upset some. Among them, a certain Sara annoyed by what she heard in this documentary. Interviewed by the magazine Public, the latter claims never to have ever divorced Faouzi Tarkhani, Diam’s current husband. “The release of this documentary hits me hard. We have the right to earn a living, but my three children with Faouzi Tarkhani, they lacked everything”she revealed before adding: “Diam’s talks about him (Faouzi Tarkhani, NdlR.) as of her husband, while we are not divorced in France, since he refuses to formalize the thing…” The divorce would have been recorded in Tunisia but not in France because Faouzi Tarkhani would oppose it, she says.
“She has no sympathy”
In the interview, Sara also did not hide what she really thought of Diam’s and her moods. “Hearing him talk about his discomfort in an interview and looking for empathy makes me jump! She knows the situation of my children and has no compassion”she says before adding: “As for the rest, I’m glad she left with him. Nobody rules my life anymore.”
