It’s a high-tech experience that takes you back to a time when cell phones didn’t yet exist. In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats, presented at GIFF by director Darren Emerson (a namesake of the musician who collaborated in the 1990s with Underworld), takes you on a forty-minute treasure hunt in the Coventry region, in the middle of the Second Summer of Love, at the frantic search for a rave.

Getting started is easy: once your virtual reality headset is on your head, two controllers materialize your hands allowing you to interact with the immaterial space. We still place a haptic vest on your back (which vibrates to the rhythm of sound systems), and you’re ready to explore the Midlands to find this damn party.
