In the video, a spokesman for the Municipality of Jeddah reveals the reason for the presence of tanks and pumps in the streets so far

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Jeddah Municipality spokesman, Muhammad Al-Baqami, revealed the reason for the presence of water tanks and suction pumps in the streets of Jeddah so far.

A spokesman for the Municipality said, during his appearance on Al-Ikhbariya channel: “The issue of cisterns is disturbing, but they are necessary to withdraw rainwater, especially since the rainwater drainage line does not cover the entire city.”

He continued, “The presence of tanks for a temporary solution, until the rainwater drainage network is completed, in addition to the fact that the pumps in the tunnels are designated for a certain percentage of water.”

The Jeddah Municipality spokesman concluded that the area around the tunnel is not covered by the water drainage network, so a number of pumps were pushed to withdraw the accumulated water in the low area.
