INM deployed personnel to serve travelers at the AIFA The National Institute of Migration (INM) commissioned 261 federal agents “trained and with a vocation to provide quality care and service” to domestic and foreign travelers entering the country through the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).

Under the supervision of the INM commissioner, Francisco Garduño Yáñez, 110 passengers were received “with success and without novelty” on the first international flight from Caracas, Venezuela, (V03726 of Conviasa), as part of the entry into operation of this new Mexican airport.

The INM highlighted that the 261 Federal Immigration Agents (AFM) attached to the AIFA have a minimum academic level of a bachelor’s degree and have 6,312 hours of training in air, land and sea migration control, human rights, Law of Migration and its regulations.

The INM area in the AIFA is equipped with 24 migratory filters, three exit filters and a visa-free transit pass.

The body of the Ministry of the Interior endorsed its commitment to safe, orderly and regular migration, with full respect and safeguarding the rights of those who enter, transit and leave Mexican territory in the context of mobility.

INM regrets violence in its offices in Tapachula

In another event, the National Migration Institute (INM) lamented the violence recorded on March 18 in the city of TapachulaChiapas, and urged those who require some migratory regularization procedure to go in order to request attention in another INM office in the entity.

The INM reported that it is repairing its facilities that were damaged by migrants, but clarified that it operates normally in eight more offices distributed in that state.

The agency announced that the service of the South Zone Migration Regulation Office, in Tapachula, will remain suspended until further notice, however, the attention that was already offered in the rest of the administrative instances of the entity is maintained:

-Talismán, on Highway 200, Tepic-Puente Talismán, Ejido Talismán, municipality of Tuxtla Chico.

-Ciudad Hidalgo, in Ciudad Hidalgo I Border Port, Rodolfo Robles International Bridge.

-Unión Juárez, in Buenos Aires and 5 de Mayo, Unión Juárez.

-Tuxtla Gutiérrez, in Libramiento Norte Oriente, Fraccionamiento Las Palmas, next to the Pablo Guardado Chávez University.

-San Cristóbal de Las Casas, at Diagonal Hermanos Paniagua 28, Barrio San Ramón.

-Comitán, international road connecting to Tzimol, Guadalupe Chichimá.

– Ciudad Cuauhtémoc, Pan-American highway, Ejido Ciudad Cuauhtémoc, municipality of Frontera Comalapa.

-Carmen Xhan, Federal Highway Trinitaria Lagos de Montebello intersection Lázaro Cárdenas, Carmen Xhan.

The INM endorsed its commitment to safe, orderly and regular migration, with full respect and safeguarding of human rights.
