Instagram testet In-App Scheduled Posts

Between 20 minutes and 75 days: Business accounts will soon be able to schedule content directly in the Instagram app.

The timed publication is not yet directly in the Instagram App and only possible via an external platform, for example by using the Instagram Creator Studios – a fact that both Social Media and bothers marketing managers and creators alike. Instagram creators should be very happy about this news: Instagram plans to schedule posts and possibly also reels directly from the app.

Instagram is initially only testing scheduled posts for business accounts

Social media expert Alessandro Paluzzi shared a screenshot on Twitter showing that users will soon be able to schedule posts under “Advanced Settings” and “Schedule” by clicking on the “Schedule this Post” field. He adds in a comment that the function is currently only being developed for business users, but could also be available for creators and “normal” users in the future.

That’s how long you can plan content on Instagram in advance

Another screenshot is attached to Paluzzi’s Twitter thread, which indicates that in the future not only posts but also reels could possibly be planned directly in the app. Here, the reverse engineer also indicates a possible period in which content could be planned in advance: Creators should be able to schedule their contributions between 20 minutes and 75 days. In a comment on this, he adds that these times currently only refer to posts and not to reels.

The user reactions are euphoric and range from “This is amazing” to “Game Changer” to “Finally!!!????”.
