IPL 2022 | Sanju scores a half-century; Rajasthan set a 153-run target for Kolkata

Kolkata Knight Riders set a target of 153 for victory over Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022. Batting first, Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson (54 off 49 balls) and Shimron Hetmeyer (27 * off 13 balls) put on 152 for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Tim Southee took two wickets for Kolkata.

But after this, Thane Shivam caught Rinku Singh off Mavi’s ball and came out. Sanju scored 54 off 49 balls, including seven fours and a six.

With Sanju out, Rajasthan’s scoring slowed down again, but a small shot from Shimron Hetmeyer led Rajasthan to a better score. Tim Southee hit two sixes in a row in the 19th over to take Rajasthan to 150 for 20. Ashwin (six off five balls) remained unbeaten with Hetmeyer.
